Angles for me are my most favorite trend. And what is so unique about them is you can so many different looks but must cutting your papers on angles.
I could not get enough of the Rainbow Bright and the Gorgeous pattern papers, who couldn’t with those names too! I love that Bella Rouge can be bold, soft, classic, graphic, or chic. I mixed a little of all of it.
Using your ruler and pencil trace on the light side of Rainbow Bright. I kept this piece the same width all the way down. For Gorgeous, I angled and tapered it down into a smaller piece. I added silver stitching to each piece, then peeled up the edges.
Before adhering these pieces to the Heart Felt pattern paper, I added more white mist to it. Then using an old credit card, I mixed yellow and orange paint to run vertical and horizontal strips on the paper. After it dried, I applied gesso with the old credit card on top to soften.
I adhered my photos to the back of the chipboard frames, added silver stitching to the smaller black frame, but for the larger frame, I trimmed the chipboard down to a fourth all the way around.
I cut the yellow flower in half (a great way to be able to use that piece on another project), fussy cut from the Bloom pattern paper, and adhered it next to the larger photo. Added more emphasis to the larger photo by fussy cutting from the Bloom pattern paper and pop dotting it between the two photos along the angle.
I hope this layout inspires you to try to create angles that will make a statement on your next layout!
