Meet Guest Artist: Stephanie Buice

Pink Paislee Guest Designer @pinkpaislee @sbuice #pinkpaislee #ppbellarouge #scrapbooking

Hi everyone! My name is Stephanie Buice and I live in a small town in central Alabama. I’m lucky to be married to my best friend and we have a two year old son named Brady. If I’m not chasing him around the house or picking up toys you can usually find me in my scrap room crafting away. For me scrapbooking is not only a great way for me to keep up with our memories but my favorite way to just relax and escape the world for a bit. I’ve been scrapbooking since about 2001, it all started with documenting my senior year in high school. I would have to say my style has changed so much over the years, I like clean and graphic bold prints and never shy away from something classic. I love adding machine stitching and white space makes me happy. I hope that I am able to inspire you with what I’ve created.

Stephanie’s Designs for Pink Paislee Featuring Bella Rouge

You Were Meant To Shine:

This layout is of one of the younger cousins on my husband’s side, she had one of her friends take pictures of her and her horse and I fell in love. This picture captures Lindsay right in her element doing what she loves.

I wanted to keep in clean and simple really focusing on the picture.
The journaling that I used are her words, ones that she has posted many times on her Instagram feed. I can’t wait to give this layout to her, it will be the best gift.

Be True To Yourself:

Last year on my 30th birthday I was challenged to take a few pictures of myself that would show my
personality. Selfies are not pictures that I enjoy taking but I felt like if I kept them true to me they could be fun. I’m glad I sat down and snapped a few, the silly goofy faces capture me for sure.

Instantly when I saw this piece of paper my mind started spinning! I loved the little frames and knew I wanted to fill them up all kinds of ways.

I cut some of the other patterns out and just started playing, this was one of the funnest layouts I’ve done in a long time, every piece I added made me more happy with it.

Beautiful Girl:

This layout is of my niece Kimberly who really is a beautiful little girl inside and out. I love her to pieces and I’m so lucky to get to be her auntie.
For this layout I stepped out of my comfort zone a bit and tried something different for me, I had a completely different idea in mind when I started punching out my squares, but as I was piling them up I decided that I liked them just as they were so I took a deep breath and ran my sewing machine over them

The colors of the Bella Rouge collection are so feminine they fit her perfectly…

True Beauty Comes From Within:

I love these pictures of my niece, they are some of my favorite and  I couldn’t wait to use them with this collection.

I took some of my favorite patterned papers from the mix and cut them on the diagonal to add some the direction of colors I wanted on this page.
I layered the pictures on top of a few doilies to ground them and then simply layered on the embellishments, I was surprised at how quickly this came together.

I really don’t think there was a single piece in this line that I did not like, that never happens!

I’m not sure if it was all the different textures or how all the colors go together perfectly but it’s one that you just can’t go wrong with.

I love both of the layouts but I must admit I am intrigued by the paper in the first one and how I would use it :)
