I love to decorate at Easter time with eggs of all kinds, especially eggs with pretty colors and textures. I decided to create half a dozen of my own this year, inspired by the Citrus Bliss collection:
I started with paper mache eggs that I purchased from my local craft store. They measure about three inches from end to end.
Next, I chose a print for each egg from the Citrus Bliss 6×6 pad. I punched a circle from each sheet (a finishing touch for later), then cut each paper into 3/8 inch strips.
Using matte Mod Podge, I adhered the strips to the egg, always crossing over at the top. The strips didn’t quite reach the bottom of the egg, so when all the strips had been applied, I finished off the bottom of each egg with the circles I punched earlier.
Sitting in a bowl or on a mossy green mat, I think these citrus-y eggs are a bright and delightful addition to any Easter decor. Thank you for visiting and happy Spring!
