Hey everyone, Raquel Bowman here with a paper craft project to help you stay organized in your life.
I don’t know about you, but as a scrapbooker I find photos and ephemera which I want to use on my pages everywhere within my craft room. I wanted a solution to help this, but also to be able to group photos into days/events/ subjects etc. So I went to my trusty and faithful Pinterest account and did a bit of browsing. When I saw this idea I thought it would be perfect.
Here is what I created using the gorgeous Atlas collection, as you can see this collection is unbelievably versatile! I do not believe this project looks ‘travel’ themed at all.
I created a 5×7″ size accordion file which can sit in my scrapbooking space and hold my photos and ephemera like ticket stubs, receipts, etc that I wish to document.
Here are the supplies I used: plain card stock (four 12×12″ sheets), thick cardboard (for the covers), one 12×12 patterned paper from the Atlas collection, Atlas chipboard, tags, enamel dots, Heidi Swapp ‘Happy’ die, Scoring board, adhesive tape, Silver Bazzil card stock, seam binding.
The ‘accordion’ part of the file was easy to create with the help of my scoring tool and two 12″strips of 5″ wide card stock scored every 1/4 inch.
I scored and cut enough dividers to make seven sections within the folder. This means I could categorise my photos daily for a week, or simply by event, person, or by projects to be completed. The latter will be the case for me and I am using this folder to organise my photos for my upcoming projects.
To close the accordion file I created a tag that threads onto a long piece of seam binding and is secured around the entire project.
The tag is from the Atlas tags pack and is embellished with a chipboard camera, star and enamel star also from the collection. I just love the ‘Happy’ die from Heidi Swapp so I cut that with a coordinating silver piece of Bazzill card stock.
I hope this has given you a fun organizational idea that you could create with your Pink Paislee Supplies.
