Fresh, light, airy, cool, cheerful. These are all words I would use to describe the Citrus Bliss collection and also for a visit I had to a special beach earlier this year. I teamed the photos + the collection to create this mini album.
I used the adorable Citrus Bliss Insta Album as the base for my mini. I then pulled some supplies that I thought I could use for the project, of course including the Insta Kit that makes the project a whole lot faster!
After adding my embellishments to the album cover (always my favorite part) I then started my pages. My first page was a title page of sorts. I typed some journaling directly on the 4×4 journaling card from the kit. I then added the word “this” die cut from a 6×6 patterned paper and a wood veneer heart. A few light splatters of white paint and it was done.
I printed some photos 4×4 so I could just simply slip them into the small plastic sleeves that come in the Insta Album. They were so easy to add an extra decorative element to by simply sliding in one of the foil printed transparent cards from the Insta Kit.
I punched holes in a trimmed glassine bag to add a pocket page to my mini. The front of the pocket was easily embellished with a smaller photo and a clear phrase die cut from the Ephemera pack stapled right in the centre of it! I’ve added some extra handwritten journaling into the pocket.
Some photos I printed slightly smaller (3×3) so I could place one of the Insta Frames over them. The frames give a perfect amount of space in a mini album to add just a strip of journaling and a couple of small accents.
Don’t forget the 4×4 cards in the Insta Kit are double sided! I used a couple of the patterned sides as backgrounds for smaller photos. I was then able to layer some embellishments and die cuts for extra detail – I just love all the clear accents in the Ephemera pack! I just stapled them right onto my photos and pages!
And finally, I created one extra fold out page from cardstock. I had two photos that I wanted to place side by side so this was my solution! I simply punched holes in my strip of cardstock (approx. 3 ½ x 8), folded it over and added some patterned paper strips, photos and a couple of embellishments. I’ve kept my pages quite simple so the focus is on the photos.
I managed to create a whole mini album that tells a special story in one afternoon thanks to the Insta Album and Insta Kit!
