On a typical summer day you’ll find my kids outside playing. One sunny afternoon, a neighbor gave my little girl a new toy – a globe ball. She loves to play ball, so the gift quickly became her favorite new toy. The Atlas collection was perfect for documenting this simple summertime memory:
I love overlays, but sometimes I struggle to show off both the overlay and any other elements I want to include on a page. My solution? Place patterned papers below the overlay, and coordinating embellishments on top. To further play up the overlay without covering it up, I used Asia and Europe like a journaling spot and filled the space with journaling strips.
I kept embellishments simple so that the photos and papers took center stage. Chipboard stickers – the corners at the top and the globe in my title – were all the page needed. The mixed title is my favorite part, not only because it’s eye-catching, but also because it ties the toy, the supplies, and my feelings about Addie all together.
From grand adventures to simple summer afternoons, the Atlas collection really delivers. Enjoy the rest of the series, and your summer!
