Hello! Thank you for being with us this week, our designers are having fun working with the new Heidi Swapp MemoryDex Spinner – there are so many amazing projects! And today it’s Anna’s turn to show you ideas on how to use this new desktop spinner.
When I saw the spinner for the first time I had an idea to make a desk calendar out of it – perfect for everyday reminders and inspiration. My plan – to create cards for every day of the year, so I can hold the spinner on my desk and rotate it when I need it. But for now I made only cards for birthdays of our family, friends and friends children.
Then I added tons of fillers! This is what I like the most – to add dynamics to the projects and make it look fun and interesting.
This is my title card for the entire year.
All birthday data I print directly on cards, but for my family members I decorated cards like this with some die cuts and stickers.
Here I used stickers ’28’ and ’11’ for making the date. And as you can see I printed pictures on the cards too.
Another thing I like about the spinner is that fact that you can create any card you can imagine! Just use Heidi’s coordinating dies and punch! For example I die cut a photo and used it as a card:
Or even use the MemoryDex hole punch to add holes to smaller bits like this chipboard frame:
Or use a cut up piece of the overlay…
Also I prepared a short video about some basic options so you can see the tools for how to get the most out of your MemoryDex supplies. Hope you enjoy it!
