Whether you are new to decorating your notebooks and planners or you are new to washi tape, you will soon realize that using these two elements together will someday cross. I’m IN LOVE with decorating my Memorandum Memory Notebook and in this post, I paired it up with the new Cedar Lane Washi Book Shapes.
Things can get a little overwhelming with the endless possibilities of great supplies to add zest to your notebook. But so many times, washi tape strips and shapes are one of my decorating essentials. They are very thin, lightweight and they come in a wide array of colors and patterns. One of the best features of washi tape is that it’s repositionable. Not only is it colourful. It add interest to pages! It also helps to mask errors on my notebook.
Since washi tapes are lightweight, I pasted a strip of tape over a pattern paper and made a little paper bow. I simply love how the scripted patterns on the pattern paper shows through the tape. Little details make a great difference.
With Washi Tape, you can really add personality to your notebook. The wide range of complementary color on this booklet works perfectly and harmoniously. I cut out labels from Pink Paislee’s Memorandum pattern paper (Item #310015) and created interactive flaps on my monthly spread. This way, I could “hide my journaling and create extra space for subtitles. Layering the tags helps me to contain my mini photos in an organized manner.
Securing labels with different washi tapes provide great accents too! It is really helpful if you happen too have to much to journal on a specific day. As you can see, the wide variety of shapes found on this booklet makes it really notebook-decorating friendly.
Decorate a tag with any leftover washi tapes, or make little flags and decorate a paper clip. These little strips of the tape positioned strategically makes an eye catching bookmark for your notebook too! Start decorating your notebook to your heart’s desire with these washi tapes!
