My name is Amélie Mordret. I’m married and have two boys. The eldest is 10 years old and the youngest is 4. I’m from France but since a few months, I live in USA. I started scrapbooking after the birth of my first son. I wanted to make him a baby book, and I have been addicted ever since.
I scrap whenever I can find free time. I am also a planner addict! 😉
I don’t really have a particular style, it really varies from project to project. I just love playing with different papers and trying new techniques. My projects often include lots of layering.
I am really happy to be guest designer for Pink Paislee this month and have the opportunity to work with the gorgeous Cedar Lane collection.
My first project is this layout:
As you can see, there are a lot of layers on this layout, I really enjoy playing with the papers and ephemera to add texture and colors on my layout. Here are some sneaks:
My next project is a very important project for me. I decided to create for the next month and the coming year a gratitude notebook. So each evening, I will add on this journal a positive thing that happened on my day, a thing that I am grateful for. I will simply add the date with a stamp and write on. I think that it is important to focus on positive events even if sometimes life is challenging us.
I also love creating DIY project for my home. Here is a little frame with a picture of my youngest son. This frame is perfect on my scraproom desk!
And at least my last project! The previous year, I tried PL, I love PL, I love documented my life but PL takes me so much time that I was always so late! So at the beginning of 2015, I decided to change my system and to use a planner as a kind of PL. Here is my weekly spread. I also will insert journaling in the center of my week. I think I will continue on this system for the coming year with the Memorandum Memory Notebook. I use on this spread Cedar Lane collection and added some Memorandum stickers.
Thank you for stopping, I hope you enjoyed all my projects.
Have a good day!
