I love creating big, bold titles on my layouts by using a mix of alphas and styles, and by making them a part of the page design. The C’est La Vie collection offers so many options for my alpha obsession! I mixed the Acetate alphas, Chipboard alphas and Mirror Stickers to create a large, directional title on my layout.
A lot of times, I will choose a patterned paper from the collection, that helps aid in the design of my layout. The angled design of the paper I used, provided great lines to follow for the alphas and for adding my photo. I began my layout, by placing the photo on the right hand side of the page, where the largest point of the angles came together. From there, it was easy to place the letters to create the “La La La Love You” title.
My design process usually consists of the same pattern – finding a place for my photo, adding the title to my layout, and finally my next favorite part of the layout…embellishing! I wanted the embellishments on this layout, to continue the directional design, so I decided to place most of them on the left hand side of the page. And here’s a great tip, when embellishing…if you can’t decide what to use, use a little bit of everything! I like to have a mix of texture and dimension, with my embellishment choices.
I hope you have found some fun inspiration for creating unique titles on your layouts! Think about ways to mix and match the alphas, included with the C’est La Vie collection or any of the Pink Paislee collections in your scrap stash!
