“Hi! It’s Flora! I have to admit, a dream came true today. I am so lucky to be here on the awesome Pink Paislee blog!

I had so many ideas but in the end I chose one of my favorite papers from the collection. I couldn’t decide which side to use as I adore both 😀 So I cut it diagonally and turned over two pieces to create a new patterned paper. The Fancy Free collection is so colorful and vivid so I wanted to show how you can create a pastel layout with it. I pulled together all the white, light pink, and turquoise embellishments from the collection. My vision was to create a playful layout so I used a lot of tiny ephemera, chipboard, a few cute buttons, and layered stickers. Oh and my no.1 favorite: the gorgeous silver glitter foam Thickers! Nowadays I like to experiment with a flat design when there is no layering. It’s a challenge to keep the photo in the focus so you have to place the embellishments smart. Anyway on the photo is my niece seven years ago. This is one of my favorite shoots of her. She is standing so cute in that purple set what she got from me!

I was inspired by Paige’s colorful layouts so I designed a cut file with the big title: “Üzenik az ágak lombok”. This is a sentence from a Hungarian song about Mother’s Day, it means something like “message from the leaves and trees”. I backed the cut file with the Fancy Free papers from the 6″ paper pad and mainly used chipboard from the collection to embellish. I added a few white butterflies and finished my project with small sweet notes that I wrote diagonally.

For the third layout I used the heart string art template and I jazzed it up with colorful beads. I layered a few patterned papers under my photo and also added a thin white border so the photo pops. This is very important if you use multicolored papers. I added to my page every kind of Fancy Free embellishment to create interesting details. I love the puffy tiny crosses and cloud, they are so cute. Only my niece and nephew are more cute on this summer photo, right?
