My oldest son has started Kindy this year and has already been to a couple of his little friends’ birthday parties! It’s becoming clear to me that I need to have a stash of cards for boys on hand, ready to go!
As soon as I saw the ‘high 5’ piece on the 12×12 cut apart sheet, I knew I wanted to use it on this card! I trimmed it into a pocket shape and added stitching around the outside. I layered it onto my card base with some other bright patterns and embellishments and it was perfect! BONUS: I adhered the pocket with thin strips of foam tape around the bottom and sides only so you could easily slip a gift card or some money inside the pocket!
For this second card, I was inspired by the unique patterned paper in the collection with the circles of patterns. I easily used my 2″ punch to punch out a few circles to turn into balloons on my card! In keeping with the feel of the previous card, I also added a subtle blue background and some stitching around each of my balloons. It only needed a couple of embellishments to finish it off.
I’m pretty convinced that Fancy Free is the most versatile collection ever! By choosing to pull out only certain colors from the collection, I could easily create cards for boys that are BRIGHT and FUN!
