Hello Pink Paislee friends! I love giving handmade cards in different shapes and sizes. These tri-fold cards have eye-catching angles and are easy to make:
First, cut solid white cardstock to 9 inches wide and 5.5 inches tall. Score the rectangle at 3 inches and 6 inches, then fold. Decide which flap you would like to be the top one, then use scissors to cut across the top flap from near the bottom to near the middle, stopping at the crease.
Repeat that step for the second flap, beginning the cut near the middle and stopping near the top at the crease. Cover all the flaps with patterned paper. Contrasting papers, like these from the Take Me Away collection, are fun to mix and match on the three main card panels.
Embellish the flaps with chipboard stickers and paper clips. I love that the Take Me Away clips are double-sided. When you open the card, the design from the front of the clip is on the back, too! Great detail!
I gave these cards away the afternoon that I made them and they were both well-received. My friends thought the tri-fold was unique and they opened and closed their cards over and over again. If you want to put your next card at an angle, give this design a try and then dress it up with Take Me Away. Happy creating!
