When it comes to home decor, I’m always on the lookout for items that both look great and help me to stay organized! With three young children, there’s no shortage of clutter in my home so I was so glad to find something that I could customize and help tame… er, I mean organize… my daughter’s desk!
While at my local craft store, I picked up a plain, unfinished desk organizer that I knew my daughter would love. The drawers would house her growing eraser collection and the cups perfect for some of her most used pens and pencils!
The first thing I did was to give it a couple of coats of white spray paint. Once dry I cut and adhered patterned paper from the Take Me Away collection to the outside panels. Simple PVA glue was perfect for adhering the paper.
I love it when my scrapbooking supplies double to help create decor items in my home! I’ll be on the lookout now for a few other items for my daughter’s room that I can transform using the soft, feminine colors in Take Me Away!
