We don’t get snow during the winter in my part of California, but I used to live where it snowed fall through spring. While I have fond memories of the white stuff, I don’t mind keeping the snowflakes to handmade cards:
I was inspired by the chevron patterned paper in the Take Me Away collection. A few minutes with my scissors and I had perfectly angled snowflake branches.
I used a ruler and a pencil to draw the lines of my snowflake then adhered the chevron pieces to the four main branches. Next, I used my sewing machine to stitch the lines.
I matted the snowflakes to white, glittery tulle, then adhered the card fronts to white card bases. Lastly, I added mirror-like hearts from the Take Me Away collection to the center of each snowflake.
I love the winter colors without the winter chill. The natural woodgrains with the light pink are so pretty together.
I’m going to enjoy warming up someone’s day by sending them one of these cards!
