Christmas: Cute Cards

@gail_lindner @pinkpaislee Get creative with bright colored buttons to create these cute Christmas cards!

Ok, so with three days to go before THE day, you’ve probably already sent out Christmas cards BUT I have the cutest Christmas card idea to share today! You’ll just have to bookmark them for next year or perhaps do some last minute crafting!

Getting creative with supplies is my favorite thing to do! As I was trying to come up with an idea for making Christmas cards without using an actual Christmas collection, I remembered some images I had seen in my internet travels of kids crafts using fingerprints and buttons! And since probably my favorite supply this year were the buttons from the Fancy Free collection, it didn’t take long to whip these up!

I do┬ánot follow the traditional Christmas color scheme of green and red – I have lots of fun colors in my holiday decorating including aqua, pink, and lime green. So I had no trouble incorporating these into my Christmas cards!

Each card has the same basic elements: white cardstock background, a peek of patterned paper, some gold and aqua mist splatters, stitching, and of course those bright buttons!

For the first card I added some black Thickers to create the sentiment ‘Ho Ho Ho!’. So fun!

pp Christmas Cards 2For the next card I arranged buttons into a Christmas tree shape complete with yellow button right at the top. The silver ‘Joy’ was just the right size to place under the tree!

pp Christmas Cards 3And for my final card, a simple circle of buttons transforms into a fun wreath complete with a fabric bow on the top! I love how this turned out!

pp Christmas Cards 4Seriously, I’m going to have a hard time giving these cuties away! I think they just might find their way into my Christmas decor!

Oh Gail, these are all fabulous! I think I’m going to borrow HOHOHO for next year’s cards.
    Happy Christmas.
