What a great challenge the team has been showing off this week. Scraplift Yourself. I actually LOVE to scraplift my pages. I do it often, to be honest. I can be found going back through past albums and sometimes getting more sentimental over a page format than the story itself. Did I just say that out loud? Well. It’s true.
Here is the inspiration for my scraplift page. This page was created several years back. I thought it sort of apropos to use a selfie as a ‘scraplift yourself’ assignment. And, as it’s the beginning of a new year, its always a good time to put ourselves on our pages and talk about our story. To talk about the right now in our lives.
The other element I went for in this scraplift was to use a very favorite Pink Paislee collection. C’est La Vie is one of my very ‘favoritist’ collections to ever get to work with. It’s beautiful soft patterns and perfect words have always been very easy to get on a layout. This page was no exception.
Paper 07 is a page of numbers designed in various graphic form. I cut away the ‘seventeen’ piece to date this page. Right now these graphic type images are really attracting me, so a perfect addition to a page about me.
The Ephemera had a message for me too. I know how to work hard. I actually love to work and be productive and make things happen. It’s the play hard piece that always seems to allude me. These transparent pieces are just what I need on this page. I need to remember to play hard.
I have plenty of words to add to this page. And I will get to that. It may be a process as the New Year unfolds. But sometimes it can be hard to snap a photo of ourselves and sort of create a self-examine page. Sometimes it can be hard to write down those words of both affirmation as well as motivation to ourselves. But these exercises can be useful and needed in a self-evaluation.
So here’s the challenge: Scraplift Yourself. In every sense of the word. Take a past favorite layout. Copy it out fresh and new. Take a selfie. Leave plenty of room for words. Be kind to yourself. And make that page. When you look back, you will not regret it. I promise.
Here’s to the rest of your new year. May it be a beautiful blessing.
