Washi: My Beautiful Ballerina

@gail_lindner @pinkpaislee Layers of washi and the delicate colors in the Moonstruck collection are perfect to document a ballerina story!

Hello Pink Paislee fans and welcome to a week on the blog dedicated to one of our favorite crafting supplies: washi tape! It’s Gail here today and I’ve used the washi and delicate colors of the Moonstruck collection to document a story about my beautiful ballerina!

Moonstruck is such a beautiful collection! But I chose to just pull out some of the softer pink and aqua colors for this layout. My daughter has just finished her fourth year of ballet and I just love to watch her dance in the end of year concert. I wanted a very soft and feminine layout to document this.

My style is with lots of layers behind my photo. For this layout I added many of the washi strips in the collection behind my photo as well. I love the extra detail this adds!

To help balance out the straight lines on the layout, I added a stitched circle on my background. This gave me the perfect space to the right of my photo for the title.

I loved using a few of the butterflies in the ephemera pack on this layout to add to the feminine feel. To add extra dimension, I popped a 3D glue dot under each of the wings. I also added a layer of tulle under my photo for texture and interest.

I love it when a layout comes together exactly how I pictured it in my mind! I achieved just the delicate layout I was after to document my beautiful ballerina!
