Hello everyone, it’s Zinia here again and today I want to share with you a layout I created using the latest collection by Paige Evans, “Oh My Heart”.
“Oh My Heart” is actually my most favorite collection to date, but when you have all these gorgeous products to work with, it’s really hard to chose where to start.
I was really tempted to use every single paper and embellishment on my page but we all know that this would have been a disaster. So I just took one idea at a time to put together my layout.
The first thing I did, was to fussy cut a bunch of scallop borders from one of the papers in the collection. My initial plan was to stitch them on my page but sadly my sewing machine had a different opinion on this matter and I end up teaming with my hot glue gun.
I started sticking the borders on one of the patterned papers but later on I changed my mind and decided to use two patterns on my background. If you are curious to see the whole process you can watch the video here:
Some of my top favorite elements in this collection are the floral designs. I absolutely love them! I fussy cut every single flower that exists in the paper and I use it as an embellishment. That’s what I did here. I cut a few florals from the 12×12 papers and used them instead of ephemera. I also added some stitching details to make them pop.
Although I really love layering, I feel sad hiding some of these beautiful designs. A really cool trick is to cut out the pieces that are hidden behind other elements and use them again! This way you came make the most out of your supplies.
I really love how this big circle from the ephemera pack looked below my photo so I decided to keep it there and use it as my title.
I really hope you enjoyed this layout and you get inspired to create something beautiful using the Pink Paislee “Oh My Heart” collection.
