I love the versatility of mini albums! There are so many ways to create them. Tag mini albums are always a favorite and I’ve done several mini albums in small binders. A fellow crafty friend, Bea Valint, created a fun mini album that can be cut from one 12×12 sheet of paper and I just had to use it with the Oh My Heart collection by Paige Evans!
That’s a whole lotta cuteness in one 12×12 sheet! I went with the Paper 08 from the Oh My Heart collection because I loved the ombre color that went from yellow to pink. These photos are from our daughter’s 11th birthday photoshoot, so I wanted the album to have stylish tween look. I chose a mix of embellishments from the Oh My Heart collection that would work with the theme of the album.
There’s room for a little bit of everything in this album. I decided to go with three photos that are all sized under 2 inches. When you fold the album you have extra space so it’s easy to add embellishments that have a bit more dimension like chipboard pieces and puffy stickers. Two of the sections on the album can be made into pockets. I added machine stitching to close the pockets and tucked in a couple of embellishments from the Ephemera Pack.
The album even includes small slits for you to add ribbon or twine to keep your album closed. I used a thin white floss to tie my album closed. I love the look of the thin little bow tied on the front of the album.
I hope you’ve found some inspiration today for creating your own mini album! What is your favorite type of mini?
