Hey Pink Paislee friends; it’s Elsie with you again today! I’m wrapping up ‘Lists’ week on the blog with a layout that I’ve had an idea for since I first saw the Oh My Heart collection, so I’m really excited to have finally made it to share with you all!

6One of my favourite things about Oh My Heart is that a lot of the papers in the collection really lend themselves to fussy-cutting, which makes it super easy to create some extra embellishments for your projects.

Paper 07 is one of those very papers; it’s seriously gorgeous! As soon as I saw it, I knew it had to be fussy-cut and made a feature of on a page. I thought it would be a fun idea to use the images on this paper as a list of some of my most favourite beauty items that always make me feel super glam!

elsie-fullThe images are super easy to fussy-cut out. It does take a little while to do, but I watched a couple of scrappy process videos as I cut them out, which made the time fly by!

I ended up fussy-cutting all of the images from the sheet, and I will save the images that didn’t make it to this layout for other projects. Getting papers like these are a really awesome way to stretch your stash because they make it so easy to create your own ephemera/embellishment pieces.

Untitled-1I mainly used my fussy-cut paper embellishments on the layout, but I can never resist a pretty puffy sticker so I also incorporated them. They’re great for adding a different texture, which creates some variation and extra interest.

7I’ve totally been hoarding this chipboard purse as I love everything about it, so I’m happy it takes pride of place on this layout!

18Because this layout has such a simple design, it was important that I add some subtle details to make it as dynamic as possible. The easiest way to do this was by playing with dimension using pop dots. By raising some of the pieces and adhering the rest straight onto the page it makes the layout feel a lot more fun and playful!

9To balance out the layout, I used one of the shelves from paper 21 as an border strip along the bottom of my page. I halfway fussy-cut some of the images on the shelf so they could could stay visible once I glued the paper underneath the cardstock. I love the look of this, and I’m sure it’s something I will do again!

3Thanks for joining me today, and I hope you’ve been inspired to fussy-cut your own embellishments and use them as a list!
