The C’est La Vie collection is perfect for saying I Love You, so why not use it to create a couple of Anniversary cards?! Card making doesn’t have to be complicated and when you have the right patterned papers and embellishments! I created two cards that would be great to give to your better half or to other family or friends that may be celebrating an anniversary.
I always love anything washi, and the washi strips from the C’est La Vie collection inspired my first card. I kept a white card base and used a mix of the strips from the washi pack and some stickers to create a fun design along the left hand side of the card. I love the look of all of the sentiments and the different colors from the washi strips. I also wanted to add a different texture to the card, so I placed three of the cork hearts across the bottom.
When I’m working on layouts, I have a thing for using large titles. You can also translate that look to a card. Even though you’re working with a small area, it’s still fun to fill the card front with an over-sized sentiment. I used the acetate alphas from C’est La Vie to create the sentiment “Happy”. I wanted the front of the card to have a simple design since I used the patterned paper in the background. I also filled in the open space beside the “Y” with one of the cork hearts and puffy sticker embellishments.
Hand made cards are always perfect for brightening someone’s day! And you can always customize them any way you want and not have to worry about finding the perfect sentiment from a store bought card.
