Hey everyone, it’s Raquel here with you today and I am kicking off a new theme on the Pink Paislee blog today! It’s ‘Vacation’ week! In this week’s posts some of the design team will be sharing vacation inspired projects with you. Today I am going to be sharing a layout featuring the new ‘Summer Lights’ collection.
Here is the layout that I created:
As a busy mum to two kiddies, two and four years old, vacations are not something that happen a lot in the Bowman household. If we do happen to have a vacation it is more hubby and I going out for a night or weekend away. In this layout, I am documenting a fun girls weekend I had with some friends last year. It was such a lovely time and one worth documenting.
The journaling for the page was typed on my computer and adhered to the page in strip form. I added a few stickers from the cardstock sticker sheet to finish it off and to help balance the page.
The chipboard Thickers ‘hello weekend’ was the most perfect title. I am so in love with the soft colours in this one with pops of bright colour. I also layered in a fussy cut cloud, an ephemera rainbow, and a star to the top right of the page.
I added a second cluster to the bottom right of the photo. I love adding tags to layouts. These tags that can be found in the ephemera pack were the perfect addition. I added some white thread and wrapped them around a chipboard heart.
To help draw your attention into my photo and the journaling I added two thin strips of a pattered paper to each side. I think this really helped to finish the layout off. Of course I had to add some stitching too!
Thanks so much for stopping by the Pink Paislee blog today. I hope my layout as part of vacation week has inspired you!
