Hello everyone, it’s Zinia here with a really cool scrapbook layout using the new Summer Lights collection. I fell in love with this collection from the moment I opened the box and saw all the gorgeous colors and patterns. Although it’s hard to chose a favorite piece, the papers really stood out to me. So I really wanted to use some pattern paper as a main element on my layout.
To do that I decided to use the 6×6 pad to create a big title for my page. I used my We R Memory Keepers Mini Alphabet Punch Board to cut out the letters using different colors and patterns. I really adore the simple yet interesting font that this punch board creates.
I placed my title and my photo close together and placed them in the center of the page. I wanted them to clearly be the center of attention on this layout. To help the photo pop a bit more, I layered some ephemera pieces behind it. I also used the punched out scraps from the Mini Alpha board to create a colorful scallop border on one side of my picture.
Since my title was “Sunny Days” I really wanted to use the gorgeous rainbow that came in the chipboard sheet. I placed it so it comes out of my photo and started adding some more embellishments here and there. I used little bits from all the different types of embellishments that are included in this fun collection.
To “ground” everything, I added a strip of the striped washi tape which is my absolute favorite from the pack. I’m really obsessed with the beautiful colors and patterns in this collection. It’s bright and subtle at the same time and all the elements are super fun and easy to use.
I really hope that you enjoyed this page and you will get inspired to create something amazing with your Summer Lights supplies!
