Hello everyone! It’s Zinia here to share with you another fun and colorful scrapbook layout I created with some of my favorite Pink Paislee collections.
For the vacation theme this week, I decided to scrap a very old photo of myself during outdoor adventures. I don’t have a clear memory of the exact vacation of this photo but I wanted to journal about the things I do remember about myself at that age and how I was feeling during vacation time with my family.
Since my photo was black and white, I wanted to fill the rest of the page with all sorts of bright colors. I grabbed my We R Memory Keepers frame punch board and a mix of patterned papers from Summer Lights, Take Me Away and Oh My Heart collections and I cut out a bunch of frames in four different sizes.
I didn’t want to use a solid color cardstock for my background so I did some digging in my paper stash and found this beautiful subtle pattern from the Sweet Freedom collection.
To build my design, I started by placing down my biggest frames. To make them look naturally placed, I left some of them hanging off of the edge. Once the biggest frames were in place I continued with the second biggest size and so on. I kept overlapping the frames to create a pattern that almost looks like a weaved basket.
To embellish the page I used again a mix of the same collections. I mostly grabbed chipboard pieces cause I wanted to add more dimension to the page.
To build my title, I mixed some chipboard stickers with the adorable letter stickers from the Oh My Heart collection. I added part of my journaling nested between the frames but I also added a little tag behind my photo cause I wanted to write more and I didn’t have a lot of space.
I love how all these collections worked together on this page and create this unique color palette. I really hope you got inspired to play around with your supplies and mix them in fun ways too!
