Hello PP fans! It’s Ashley, and I’ve got a question for you. Did you know that there is an AC Digitals website where you can download digital files for collections from Pink Paislee as well as other American Crafts companies? It’s true! This is a great way to dabble in hybrid scrapbooking where you combine your standard paper supplies with printed digital files. If you’re a full-fledged digital scrapbooker, then the AC Digitals site will be your new happy scrappy place! Make sure you head over and check it out HERE after you finish reading through my post.
There are a lot of fun ways to use the AC Digitals on your layouts or projects. I decided to print one of the ephemera pieces from the Oh My Heart collection much larger than it’s actual size. Once I had it at the size I wanted it, I just printed it out on my highest resolution onto white cardstock. Then I cut the design out with my paper trimmer. Having access to the AC Digitals is also great for all of those times that you used an embellishment and think, “Oh, I really wish I had another one of those pieces”. Now you can! Just find the one you’re looking for and print it on your home printer.
Since I enlarged the ephemera piece, I wanted to do something that would make it pop even more… so hand-stitching to the rescue! I used an embroidery floss thread that coordinated with the Oh My Heart collection to stitch around the outer edge of the printed embellishment. And it also worked perfectly as the title of my layout!
I love the way my printed ephemera piece divided the layout, so I decided to use that flow and create two clusters. I placed my photo at the top of the layout and clustered several different types of embellishments around it. For the bottom cluster, I created a flower look by mixing a chipboard sticker with a fussy cut flower and a few leaves. To create more dimension on the layout I adhered several of the embellishments with AC Pop Dots.
I hope you’ve found some inspiration for using the AC Digitals on your projects! Head over and check it out!
