Hi friends! I am so excited for Turn the Page week! This fourth collection has a soft spot in my heart – the entire line was based around our big move from Germany back to the United States and I wanted to document that on a layout.
I made a start-to-finish process video so you can see exactly how this layout came together:
The design for this layout is basic and easy: it’s a grid! I used a combination of washi tape, ribbon, and the barcode strips (all from my Turn the Page collection!) to create the dividers for the 4×4 grid.
Then I started filling in all the spaces with photos and embellishments. I wanted to include little bits from as many of the products in Turn the Page as I could so I added a fancy paper clip, one of the little quotes from the mini 2×2 paper pad, chipboard stickers, transparency stickers, puffy stickers, wood veneer, sequins, Thickers, and mini alphabet stickers. I even snuck in some stamping from the acrylic stamp set (in three places to create a visual triangle!).
I stamped the date on one of the tiny tabs found in the journaling spots pack and added it to the white space of a photo. I left one of the spaces empty except for “BYE” letter stickers sewn in place so I could write my journaling.
I hope you are as excited as I am about the release of Turn the Page and I can’t wait to see what the design team and guest designer have in store for this week! Turn the Page is shipping to stores now so be sure to request it at your local scrapbook store or online shops!
