Raise your hand if you get excited about new collections! Mine is up… just letting you know, since you can’t see through the computer! HA! It’s Ashley, and I’m stopping in today to share a layout with you using the new Turn the Page collection by Paige Evans. This collection has a new product that’s my absolute favorite: 2×2 paper pads! I love them so much I decided to feature them on this layout.
All of the mini patterns on these 2×2 papers are so cute! I pulled different patterns out of the paper pad and turned them to create diamond shapes on my layout. I started with the diamonds along the center diagonal of the page and added four pieces of paper. Then I went out from there adding three on the next row and two on the last row. Once all of the papers were in place I machine stitched down the center of each diamond.
I chose the bottom right-hand side of the layout for my photo. This allowed me to use a larger photo and title without covering up the diamond pattern on my background paper. I placed a few embellishments from the collection around my photo to help draw more attention to it. And I used pop dots to adhere part of my title to give the layout dimension.
Last but not least, I finished up the layout by placing a variety of embellishments in the center of each of the diamond shapes. This always adds a fun look to your layout and it’s a great way to use embellishments that you might not know how to use in any other way. I love the interest that all of the embellishments add to the layout.
I’m sure you’re ready to pick up some of the Turn the Page collection for your projects so head over to your favorite online shops and fill up that shopping cart! I hope you’ve been inspired with a fun way to use the 2×2 paper pads from the collection, too!
