The new Spellcast collection is definitely “boo”-tiful! It’s the perfect collection for documenting Halloween memories, or for creating Halloween decor. I have to admit that Halloween is my favorite holiday to scrapbook! It’s so fun when you have just the right products to go with your photos, whether they’re creepy and spooky or too cute to spook!
I wanted to use a large spider web die cut that went to the edge of the layout. Once I had the spider web cut I machine stitched to add some texture and give it the perfect spiderweb look. I placed my photo down at the bottom right corner of the layout. I love the contrast of the blue in our son’s costume with the pops of orange in the Spellcast collection.
I love using die cuts… if you haven’t guessed that yet… so I layered another die cut over the large spiderweb for my title. I wanted the title to really stand out so I hand stitched around the outer edge with white embroidery floss. This was a great place to work in some of the awesome embellishments, too. I placed some of the ephemera and stickers in the center of the three title letters.
I completed the layout with several more embellishments around my photo. I love that they draw your eye to the bottom of the layout. I also created an embellishment cluster above the title to help balance out the design.
You can find the Spellcast collection in your favorite online stores! Make sure you pick some up for all of your upcoming Halloween projects!
