Nothing says fall like leaves that are changing colors and crunchy leaf piles to jump in! I always love to create fall-themed layouts with leaf cut files. You can cut lots of little leaves, big leaves, or a full background of leaves. Then the fun part… backing them with your favorite patterned papers. I decided to go for a full background of leaves on my layout today and the Outfitters collection is perfect for a lovely, leafy layout!
I used one of the patterned papers from the Outfitters collection that had more of a subtle look. I cut the leaf background on my Silhouette Cameo from a woodgrain paper. Then I backed some of the leaves with a few of the papers from the collection. I left the other leaves open so the background paper would show through. Next, I stitched down the center of the leaves that were backed with patterned paper and then I adhered the cut file with pop dots for dimension.
Since I had so much going on in the background, I wanted a big, bold title that would stand out. I decided to do some more die cutting and cut my title from the navy blue paper in the collection. I placed it next to my photo because I knew it would help draw attention to the photo. I used the fun embellishments from the collection around my photo. I love to cluster them around my photo for interest and all of the different textures.
I love that the Outfiitters collection worked for the look I was going for on this layout. The colors definitely add a fall touch and it also gives a masculine look to go along with the photo of our son. I hope you’ve found some inspiration from my layout and that you’ll show some leaf love on your next project!
