Hello Pink Paislee friends! Enza here, and today I’m excited to share a Thanksgiving layout with you. To celebrate the people I am most thankful for in my life, I decided to go big with a title that takes up most of the page. I wanted it to make a statement and give the idea of what the layout is about at once.
I started by cutting the title out of the gorgeous floral patterned paper in the Turn the Page collection. I knew I wanted to stitch all around it, but I was short on time. I had to find an easier and faster way to create my stitching pattern. Instead of manually pocking the holes along the edge of the cut file, I decided to let my Silhouette do all the work. The trick here is to create an outline around the image you want to stitch and then make it into a dotted line before sending it to cut. Easy peasy! Stitching on paper has always been an enjoyable pastime for me. I also love the texture and definition it adds to my projects!
I picked a different colored thread for each of the letters as I wanted to make the title pop a little more. Once the background was ready, I worked on building several layers behind the picture. I used lots of die cuts, wood veneers, stickers, as well as fussy cut flowers and leaves.
