Hi everyone! It’s Elodie on the blog today and I’m so excited to join the amazing Pink Paislee Design Team and to share my first project with you! One of my favorite scrappy things to do is to create scenes on my layouts. So, for this spotlight post, I decided to make a big sun on my page using the beautiful Turn the Page collection and a large photo of me and my girls snapped in Spain a couple of years back. Here is my layout!
To be able to use bright colors on my page, I went for black and white for my photo and I picked paper #16 with its soft mint green color for the background.
I started by placing two colorful strips from papers #12 and #24 at the bottom of the page. I then cut the photo so as to get a half circle and I adhered it with foam tape to make it pop.
Next, I moved on to making my sunbeams using colorful Turn the Page washi stickers. I added more pretty colors to my page with die cuts that I placed on the edge of the photo. I also included a couple of journaling spots on which I stamped the date and added the location using alpha stickers from the Turn the Page sticker book.
For the title, I used another die cut that I placed at the bottom of the pic and that I adorned with cute heart stickers from the sticker book. I added a couple of puffy and clear stickers on my photo cluster and my scene was complete!
I love how the black and white photo stands out against the bright Turn the Page colors! I hope this layout inspires you to create colorful scenes on your projects using pretty Pink Paislee supplies! Thank you so much for stopping by today! Wishing you a lovely day!
