Hi guys, it’s Lisa on the blog again. Welcome!! Today I’m sharing a layout I made using the wonderful Pick-Me-Up collection. This is actually the second layout I made… I liked the first one too, but it wasn’t good enough in my opinion… Hehe…! If you want to see it though, make sure to check out my Instagram. Here’s the layout I wanted to share.
To start this off, I used a cut file from Paige from the Silhouette store. Normally what I do is back the cut file with different patterned papers, gluing them on the back. I wanted to see the patterned papers but top them with the cut file a little crooked. I used it as a template to cut all the little pieces of paper (I used Paper 21 and Paper 10) to guide me sticking them on a white sheet. For the flower, I used all the red toned papers and for the leaves all the green and blue toned papers. Ohhh, yes, it took quite some time… 3 hours or so!
I was pretty happy when I was finished and it looked good Then I cut the flower again but from a light pink paper and placed it on the other one, sticking them together at a few points only. I put foam tape on the whole thing and stuck it on Paper 04. So I pretty much had a lot of dimension going on.
I reeeeally love how this turned out! I chose a picture and backed it with washi strips that I stuck on white paper first.
Then I used some ephemera pieces, some rub-on stars, some sequins from the haberdashery pack, some puffy stickers, cardstock stickers and chipbaord stickers to embellish around the flower. I really hope you like it and if you do, as always, you can watch the process video on YouTube!
