Hello Pink Paislee friends! I am so excited to share with you my very first layout with the gorgeous Pick-Me-Up collection. I love its vibrant, intense colors, the fun patterns, and all the adorable bits and pieces.
This layout came together rather quickly. I was determined to use the amazing floral acetate paper right away. Like most scrapbookers out there, I tend to hoard beautiful pieces for the “next” layout or project, and then never use them 😉 The floral frame on the acetate inspired the whole design. I decided to add an actual frame that created some separation from the background. The cut file I used (Design ID #248359), which is also by Paige, worked perfectly for it.
Another idea came to mind while I was playing with the placement of the cut file. The frame actually looked like a window to me, so how about some butterfly trails hand-stitched on the background patterned paper? I thought it would look cute and would also add to the spring feeling of the page. I fussy-cut a few moths and adhered them on top.
I kept the rest pretty simple. I used foam adhesive to pop the photo up and added a banner from the Journaling Spots as a layer behind it. The “you make me feel happy” sentiment that comes in the Ephemera pack served as my title, while the Happy Life foam letter Thickers were the perfect size for the date.
A few more embellishments completed the layout.
I can’t say enough how much I love this collection, and I can’t wait to see how you’ll use this gorgeous acetate piece on your projects. Thank you for stopping by. Have a lovely day!
