Pick-Me-Up: Fussy Cutting

Let @craftyjenschow show you how to use fussy cut patterned papers for embellishments with the new @pinkpaislee Pick-Me-Up collection!

Hey friends! I was so excited to get the new Pick-Me-Up collection and had so many ideas right away. I almost always look at the papers and think about what I can cut out – I love fussy cutting! What came about was a layout that uses the patterned paper for much of the embellishment.

Then I cut up that gorgeous floral paper. I left a bit of the navy edge because I love the contrast against the bright colors.

I used a foam pad + an embossing stylus to give them a rounded, dimensional look (see video), and then popped them up with some foam adhesive.

I love the size of them because I can create a title with several words without taking up the entire page! I added my journaling below it.

I kind of feel like when you have a lot going on, it helps to contain it in a single area, the circle in this case. Your eye still has a chance to rest on the outside edges of the layout.

I love, love, love the bright and cheery colors in this collection and can’t wait to dive into it more! If you want to see how the layout came together, watch the process video below!

Thanks so much for hanging out with me today and watch the blog for lots of awesome projects using the Pick-Me-Up collection in the next few weeks!
