Hi friends, it’s Lisa on the blog today sharing this funny, bright, and colorful layout with you. Since it’s friendship week on the blog, I thought I’d scrapbook a photo of me and my friend. Every year we drive to Italy together and last year when we were driving through Switzerland, we couldn’t pass the Gotthard tunnel (which is 17km long btw…), we had to drive over it… like driving up the whole mountain!!! Even in Summer, temperatures drop drastically on top and we were trying to take a good picture with the cold wind blowing in our faces and hair. It wasn’t easy, but it was fun!
For this layout I used the Pick- Me-Up collection and some patterned papers from Oh My Heart. I wanted to make this cute frog, so I looked for very bright green papers. I started by drawing the frog and his friend the dragonfly on a sheet of white paper. Then as always, cutting the different parts out, tracing around them on different patterned papers, cutting out again, and putting the frog and dragonfly together piece by piece, and sticking them on a white sheet of paper. Then I looked for threads that would match the colors and I hand-stitched all around.
Then I chose a flower cut file from Paige in the Silhouette store and backed the flowers with patterned papers.
To mat my photo, I used a mix of patterned papers and some journaling tags and pieces. Since I never journal, I think they are great to back pictures with.
As a title I chose the cute phrase from the Toy Story song “You’ve got a friend in me” and I wrote it with the tiny white foam Thickers.
I finished everything off with some gold and pink splatters and some flower stickers.
I hope you liked how this turned out. Either way, this layout makes me happy and I can’t wait to hit the road again this year. Thank you for stopping by guys!
