Do you like fussy-cutting? You know, that thing where you take some time to cut small images out of patterned paper? I feel like most people either love it or hate it. I’m on the LOVE it side. It’s so calming and relaxing for me.
Usually, I’m all over fussy-cutting florals. It’s the best. But I already did that recently, so I decided to go with frames this time! The Pick-Me-Up collection has two versions of the frame paper – a colorful one in the regular patterned papers (Paper 19) and a gold foiled version in the 12×12 paper pad. I usually go for the gold.
After cutting the frames, this layout could have come together very quickly, but of course I agonized over every decision. It was just one of those days. Anyway, I put some spray mist on the background using the smooshing technique. I find that I want to do that almost every time the photos have water in them! I placed photos behind four of the frames, left two for a title + journaling, and backed the others with patterns. I love the way it came out!
I added a few embellishments, some stitching, and I popped all of the frames up with foam. You can see how it all came together in the process video!
So, are you pro fussy-cutting?
