Spring: Fresh Start Layout

Let @craftyjenschow show you how to document your favorite things about Spring with the @pinkpaislee #TurnThePage collection by @paigetaylorevans!

Spring is my second favorite season. I love the mild weather, the return of birds chirping, and lawns being mowed. I love the new life that comes – especially the flowers. I decided to create a layout with a seemingly random photo of my open front door.

I started by layering a bunch of floral die cuts and stickers from the Turn the Page collection, as well as a bunch of stickers from the Paige Evans Sticker Book. That book is the gift that keeps on giving!

I added in some other die cuts, chipboard, and puffy stickers, again, mostly from the Turn the Page collection. I love the way the butterflies add a bit of movement to the design.

I layered up some of the butterflies for some added dimension. I created my title with some Thickers and colored the white foam letters (from the Pick-Me-Up collection) with a yellow-y green alcohol marker. I have done that a few times now and really love being able to customize them to match my color scheme.

I added some washi strips to ground my title cluster. I really like how the label + arrow + floral puffy sticker help to ground the title even more.

I finished by adding some copper oil pastels. I just scribbled it and rubbed it with my finger so it had a soft, glowing texture. I also decided to rip the white cardstock base in a few areas and put some patterned paper behind it and adding a copper staple for good measure.

You can see how this layout came together in the process video below!

Thanks for joining me today! Have you documented your favorite things about Spring? I hope you’ll give it a try!
