Hi Pink Paislee friends! Today I am so excited to introduce you to our guest designer and former Pink Paislee design team member: Jamie Pate! Find more about Jamie on her blog, Instagram, Pinterest, Facebook, and YouTube.
How did you get started scrapbooking? Years ago my sister-in-law gave me a pre-made Creative Memories page as a birthday gift. I was already a crafty girl making cards and altered art and the like. I had always had great affection for paper and pens and stickers since early in high school. Well, that first Creative Memories page set my heart to a most loving task. Lucky for me it was early in my child rearing days, and I now celebrate life by way of scrapbook pages, mini albums, cards, and memory planners. Memory keeping is just a way of life for me. And I am most excited to share and inspire others to do the same.
What is your favorite Pink Paislee product? Seriously? I can only pick one fav product? I have been a fan of Pink Paislee for many a year. So right now, today, this Auburn Lane is my favorite Pink Paislee product. I fell in love with it as soon as I saw it. And it did not disappoint.
5 fun facts about you:
1. I’m a California girl. Raised there. And now residing in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado.
2. Black is the new black. Always.
3. Popcorn popped in coconut oil on the stove top is a daily habit.
4. I may or may not be a coffee snob. OK. I may.
5. I am mother to five kids. Currently they range from 22 years to 7. And it’s not too dissimilar from herding cats.
This layout incorporates a scribbly circle die cut. To start I used just one die cut, and then decided that two layered together would hold the photo better. The floral embellishments centered and layered above the photo help create a great frame for this layout.
Often I am found to utilize a grid layout scheme. These grids create great homes for photos as well as clusters of embellishments. When I find a sketch that works for me, I frequently repeat the idea.
The ephemera found in the Auburn Lane collection is just waiting to be clustered together. Along with the beautiful Washi Tape, it’s easy to do, and creates a great anchor for this page.
I took advantage of that great Gathered tag in the ephemera pack to embellish the cover of this diy mini album. I popped it up on the front with adhesive dots and did the same with the black and white floral embellishments to create a title that really pops.
Oh my goodness I love making cards. And that gold foil floral vellum was begging me to fancy cut it. So I did. And created an oh so delicate pocket for my tag that is home to my card sentiment of Hello You, found in the cardstock stickers.
