Hey dear friends, today I’m sharing a super cool mini album with you! When I thought of how I could make this one, I thought that it would be fun to make it in the style of a calendar. Like those calendars with rings you have on your desk, where you turn the pages horizontally, not vertically like in a normal album or book… I you don’t know what I mean, I’m sure you will know
For this project, I worked only with the Paige Evans Pick-Me-Up collection. For the base of the album I chose a 12×12 paper. Out of thick chipboard I cut out 3 rectangular pieces. Two in the size that I wanted my pages to be (a bit bigger than 4×5″) and one shorter (2×5″) that would go on the bottom. I covered the three pieces completely with the patterned paper and created a kind of triangle shape, with a shorter side that would stand on the bottom and two bigger sides where the pages would hang off. Very difficult for me to explain, but you can watch the process video.
Then I pierced holes in the top of the two bigger sides and put my two rings through them.
I cut a bunch of 4×5″ pieces of paper then I always used two of them and stitched them together on three sides, creating little pockets. I also created 2 envelopes with my WRMK envelope maker.
Then I started decorating all the pages. For my pictures, I used some from my very recent vacation in Pineto, Italy.
I used different techniques and made cute little interactive pieces.
Here you can see some of the cards you can pull out from the pockets. I put pictures on them, decorated with some stickers and also attached a little tag so it’s easier to pull out and to see where there’s something to pull.
I also used some Paige Evans cut files from the Silhouette store: Crab Design ID #267053, Sunglasses Design ID #267508, Folded circles Design ID #267970.
And of course the beautiful layered flower cut file Design ID #268549
What I love to do is stack some pictures together and attach them with a brad.
I also created some other little pockets and pop-ups that I thought would be fun.
If you want to see all the pages and also a process video, make sure to watch the video on my YouTube channel!
Thank you so much for stopping by!
