Hello there! It’s Elodie on the blog today with a brand new project to share with you. I made a travel mini album using the beautiful Auburn Lane collection and photos snapped during our trip around Northern Italy last year. I hadn’t made a mini album in a long time and I’m happy with how it turned out!
I decided to go with a ring mini album and I wanted to make a double page for each city we visited. I started by working on the pages and used sheets from the 6×8 paper pad that I folded in half to get 6×4″ cards. I adhered the inside of the cards and left a side open on two of them to create photo pockets. So easy!
For the cover I hand stitched the front and the back pages with white thread to add detail and texture. I adorned the front cover with beautiful fussy cut flowers from the specialty vellum paper and gold sequins from the mixed embellishment pack. I used pretty Auburn Lane Thickers for the title and added Pick-Me-Up foam Thickers for the date.
For each double page I placed my photos on the right side and added the name of the city on the left side using Auburn Lane chipboard Thickers, Pick-Me-Up foam Thickers, and Turn the Page stickers. I also adorned the left pages with embellies that I made with Auburn Lane papers: banners, hearts, butterflies, chevrons, flowers, strips, leaves, and houses.
To be able to include more photos, I also made a heart insert, a page with a pocket, three booklets, and I placed a couple of pictures in a paper bag. I adorned the photos and the inserts with pretty Auburn Lane washi tape, cardstock stickers, beautiful fussy cut flowers, stickers from the Auburn Lane sticker book, Turn the Page ribbons, and doilies from my stash.
Once all my pages were finished, I punched them and binded them with two metal rings. I put the final touch on my mini album by adding a bit of ribbon on one of the rings. I love the romantic look the Auburn Lane collection gives to my album!
I really enjoyed making this mini album and I hope it inspires you to use the gorgeous Auburn Lane line to document your travels!
