Hello, crafty friends! I’m back today to share a fun set of floral cards featuring the Whimsical collection by Paige Evans. Having such a gorgeous collection to play with is very inspiring and makes it easy to create fun projects in no time. This is one of those instances where the product leads the way. In fact, there wasn’t a lot of thinking involved; I fussy cut the beautiful flowers and clustered them to make them the star of my cards.
The first is a monochromatic card.
The purple ombre patterned paper worked perfectly as base for my card panel. Using a metal die from my stash, I cut an intricate design to use as a layer between the base and the floral cluster. I love the delicate and dainty look of the die cut and I think it goes really well with the softness of the purple tones.
Flowers and leaves were fussy cut from Paper 14, and I adhered them together with foam dots for dimension. I also curled the edges for added interest and a more natural look. The purple banner sentiment finished the card.
The second card features warmer colors.
As in the first card, I picked a patterned paper for the base of my panel and used a die cut as a middle layer.
I fussy cut flowers and leaves from another paper in the collection: Paper 03. To make them pop and bring in more of the orange color, I adhered a strip of patterned paper behind the big flower cluster. A banner sentiment in coordinating colors and tiny heart puffy stickers finished the card.
