Have you guys heard of the #michaelschallenge? Basically, it’s all about taking photos with the fake flowers in the aisles of the craft store and making it look real. Me and my friend CJ decided to take a stab at it and laughed the whole time. Our photos don’t look too real, but there are so many out there that are pretty incredible! I decided to make a silly layout to document the story.
I started by backing several of this flower cut file by Paige Evans with scraps from the Confetti Wishes and Wild Child collections – I had to add flowers on this layout, right?! Before I added them to the layout, I smooshed some matching inks down on my white cardstock background.
I added a title using a combination of Thickers from the Auburn Lane collection and a chipboard word from the Confetti Wishes Card Kit above my photos, which I placed in the center of the page.
I added some word strips and hearts that I fussy cut from papers in the new Whimsical collection. I love the pops of red orange and fuschia.
You’ll probably notice that the sentiments I cut out kind of poke fun at the whole event. My favorite? The “inhale exhale” word strip. Can you just imagine us smelling those fake flowers? Haha! I added some journaling and the date and called it done!

So, have you done this challenge? Have you documented it yet? The Pink Paislee collections have gorgeous flowers to help you tell your most beautiful and most silly stories!
