Happy Halloween PP fans! It’s Elsie here and since it’s Halloween today, I couldn’t resist making a cute and spooky layout to celebrate. If you don’t have any Halloween supplies, fear not! For this layout, I primarily used papers from the Whimsical collection and dipped into a few other Pink Paislee collections. Let me talk you through everything!
I also dug out the stamp set from Turn The Page and used the small open star stamp to heat emboss some white stars all over the background. I love how simple this was to do, but it creates such a lovely and magical effect.
Next, I backed this Haunted House cut file with papers from Whimsical. These colours and patterns aren’t what you typically think of when you think of Halloween, but the creepy house cut file creates that spooky effect with whatever cute papers you place behind it!
Since I didn’t use a Halloween collection, I used my die-cutting machine to create my own die-cuts. I cut some bats and a witch flying on a broom from black cardstock, so they looked like silhouettes against my night sky background.
To create my title, I used a mix of alphas from Pick-Me-Up. I overlapped the chipboard letters to spell out ‘spook’, and for the first part of the title I used a black paint pen to colour the mini navy foam alphas, so they would match the rest of the layout.
