Have you all seen that gorgeous floral die cut specialty cardstock from the Whimsical collection? It’s gorgeous and I love that you can have a gorgeous layout in just a few steps. Today I wanted to show you how I cut it up to make a bed of flowers for my photo.
I simply snipped the flowers from the die cut paper, added a bit of watercolor to them, and added patterned paper behind the flowers that had a little peek-a-boo. I just put yellow centers on the other flowers. I think they look so beautiful!
I didn’t do a great job of covering the shapes with watercolor because I wanted it to look artsy and I like the varied look.
I added my title in the center of the large flower using both types of Thickers that came out with this collection. I didn’t need a lot of embellishment, so I just added a few metallic hearts and some of the butterfly charms to go with the butterfly die cuts as well as a couple of clouds.
I added a few strips of patterned paper to the top edge of the page to help fill up just a little bit of that white space.
So, will you cut this paper up or leave it as is? I’d like to try it both ways, actually! See you again soon!
