Do you have Thickers in your stash that are being neglected? Or leftover letters that don’t really spell anything? I have a fun technique for using up those pieces in your stash! I absolutely love multi-colored letter Thickers, but have a hard time incorporating them into my layouts, so I used them here to create a background using the negative space from a circular Silhouette cut file to contain it all.
I nestled all of the letters together, covered them in white gesso, and then put a bit of color on top with some watercolor paints.
The letters went about a third of the way up the circle and I added my title on top using a die cut from the Whimsical collection along with some foam letter Thickers from the Auburn Lane collection.
I punched my photo into a circle and added some doilies and die cuts around it – can’t get enough of those awesome Whimsical florals!
I added a round die cut to house my journaling, along with a few more die cuts on the bottom right to balance the photo cluster on the top left.
Finally, I added a chipboard banner at the top and a few black doodles and splatters to complete the look! Here’s another view of the layout:
Hope you’ll give something like this a try soon!
