Hello everyone! It’s Kylie back on the blog today sharing my latest layout created with the Little Adventurer collection. As I had previously created a layout for my son, I really wanted to create one of my little girl as a baby also. The pinks, corals, and greys were a perfect colour mix for what I had in mind for my design and I couldn’t go past some florals as well!
I began with the background detail and cut Paige’s Heart background cut file with my Silhouette. Since I didn’t want to use a full page size I cut it in half and will be able to use the second half for a future project. The hearts were backed with lots of varying colour themes and adhered to my backing page – Paper 04.
My Teddy Bear was one of my own files I had traced and cut from my Silhouette Cameo. The Heart Paper 01 was a perfect choice for backing it as it had a great contrast to the backing paper. Once backed I adhered it over my background with foam squares so it sat out from my page, giving a sense of dimension. The eyes, nose, and heart centre were also added with more foam tape for the same reason. I also added some white back stitching around the edge of the heart for texture.
I chose the ‘Little One’ die cut from the collection for part of my title, complemented by some of the Alpha Thickers. My photo was able to be tucked in under Teddy’s heart tummy and for balance I have layered some of the gorgeous floral die cuts in and around my image.
By this stage I was loving the colour combinations together and decided to add some more detail to the layout by using more of the floral die cuts as well as the crown in between the Teddy Bears ears.
For balance I used more of the floral die cuts in the background which also filled a little blank space I had. The rose gold stars also added a lovely element to my completed design.
Once completed I love seeing all the various beautiful paper combinations come together!
I hope you have enjoyed seeing my latest design today and it gives you some inspiration for your own projects! Until next time!
