Hello there! Enza here with a new layout featuring the gorgeous Horizon collection. I love butterflies, and when I saw the new Layered Butterfly cut file by Paige I knew I had to use it right away. I’m actually combining two of her cut files on this page. Let’s see how it came together!
I decided to cut the design three times, slightly reducing its size each time so to have more variety. I used both sides of the patterned paper and machine-stitched the several layers in place. I love all the dimension here! Those butterflies are just too gorgeous!
Before arranging them on the page, I decided to add an extra layer to the background with another cut file, this time a floral design. I wanted it to be big and take the whole left side of the layout, but I chose not to back it with patterned paper, as I wanted the butterflies to be the focus. The photo fit perfectly in between the wings. I layered a frame behind it and several stickers on top. The paper clips in this collection are just too cute; here I added the flower one by the little “Follow Your Heart” banner. I then placed the big “Dream” chipboard sticker above the photo, where I also arranged a few more embellishments: fussy cut butterflies, puffy stickers, flowers and foliage from the ephemera pack.
To finish the layout, I chose a tiny flower included in the stamp set and stamped it several times around the butterflies. It was the perfect substitute for enamel dots!
Thank you for stopping by! I hope you have found some inspiration for your next layout using the gorgeous Horizon collection and some amazing cut files.
