Hey scrappy friends, it’s Lisa back on the blog and today I’m sharing a very cute layout I made using the 2×2 paper pads from the Horizon collection. As you may know, I’ve been making a grid design with all the mini paper pads since they’ve been coming out. I posted all of them in the post from my last grid design layout. If you want to see them, click here: GRID LAYOUTS
The layout for the Horizon collection turned out like this:
This time, I chose my pieces from the paper pads but also chose some patterned papers and cut out 2×2 pieces. I wanted to make four rows with four different colors, so I chose pink, blue, green/yellow, and orange. I adhered every little square onto another piece of paper and cut them out leaving a little border. Then I did the same procedure again, so that every piece would have two borders in matching colors.
When I had all of my pieces, I placed them on the patterned paper I had chosen. As my background, I chose one of my favorite papers from the collection, the white one with all the cute colorful plus signs. When I was happy with how it looked, I adhered them all down using craft foam to make them pop off the page
Then I went through all of my embellishments and chose color matching pieces to distribute on some places of the layout. I used chipboard stickers, cardstock stickers, ephemera pieces, and a puffy heart sticker. I love that there are so many adorable pieces to chose from in this collection.
As a title, I wanted something bold (of course!). I cut out some letters of a pink patterned paper to write the word “Amazing” and cut out the word “place” out of a blue patterned paper. I matted them on white paper to make them stand out and adhered them to the layout.
Finally I gave my layout a frame, using the pretty rainbow patterned paper from the collection and then I splattered some white paint all over the page.
