Hey scrappy friends, Lisa Fonseca back on the blog and today I’m sharing two cards.
Since it’s almost summer and the weather is starting to get better and better (at least in the Northern hemisphere ;), I’m really in the mood to create things that have a summery feel to them. My assignment was to make cards and I remembered I had seen those adorable ice cream cones with multiple ice cream balls on top on Pinterest. So I chose to make two cards with ice cream/popsicles.
Since I always like to make two different, but matching cards, I chose to make one with an ice cream and one with popsicles. I went through the Silhouette store and chose some cut files that I thought were really cute. I cut out the different pieces from vibrant and summery patterned papers. Then I adhered them to white paper and stitched all around the shapes with gold thread to give them a chic touch. I cut them out, leaving a white border.
The popsicles had faces, so I also gave the cherry on top of the ice cream a cute little face and I added white accents everywhere that I thought looked cool. I adhered all of the cuties on a piece of patterned paper using crafty foam to make them pop up. Then I adhered the piece on another piece of patterned paper that was shaped like a card.
